Community Awards to High School Pupils – June 2019

The Rotary Club of Flint and Holywell were chuffed to bits to welcome three young people who had gone the extra mile for their community. Every year, the club gives bursaries to a student from each of the three high schools , Flint High, Ysgol Treffynnon and St Richard Gwyn, in recognition of their efforts to help others.

Rhys Lloyd from Ysgol Treffynnon attended with his mum Ann Marie. He had organised several sponsored events for 3 different charities to raise hundreds of pounds.

Daniel, from St Richard Gwyn attended with his mum Angela. Daniel played the last post at several Remembrance Events in Flint and Holywell making our centenary commemorations truly memorable.

Masie from Flint High School has been helping younger children transfer to High School by involving them in sport long before they transfer to Flint High School.

All three students spoke confidently to the Rotarians and shared their positive vision for the future of our communities.
